Friday Evening: “MARRIAGE MATTERS”
5:00 pm Childcare begins at church so couples can go out for dinner. Dinner will available for the kids including gluten free options.
6:45 pm Seminar, Q & A and Dessert
Saturday Morning: “PARENTING MATTERS”
10:00 - 11:00 am Session 1
11:00 – 11:15 am Break with a snack
11:15 - 12:30 pm Session 2 and Q&A
Sunday Morning: “CHURCH MATTERS”
9:30 - 10:30 am Inter-generational Ministry All Students & Adults will meet in the Worship Center (Sunday School Opening for grades 1-6 will be in the Commons today).
11:00 am Inter-generational Ministry cont’d in the Worship Center
Please contact the church office to reserve your spot on Friday and Saturday. No reservation needed for Sunday. There is no cost for this weekend.
We are very excited and privileged to have the Walkers as the featured speakers of our Family Matters Weekend.
Mel & Peggy Walker are both quality communicators who have served together for almost 40 years.
Mel serves as the Vice President of Communications & External Relations at Summit University of Pennsylvania (formerly Baptist Bible College & Seminary) in Clarks Summit, PA and is the co-founder of Vision For Youth, an international network of youth ministries. He is a frequent speaker at church leadership, youth, family life, and parenting conferences. He is the author of 7 books, most recently “Inter-Generational Youth Ministry: Why a Balanced View of Connecting the Generations is Essential for the Church”.
Peggy is a well-known women’s ministry speaker and has traveled extensively to women’s conferences, meetings, and retreats. She is also an adjunct instructor at Summit University, teaching women’s ministry courses.
They are active together in their church and they often travel together – speaking at conferences & seminars, both nationally and internationally.
They have 3 grown children (all of whom are in vocational ministry) and currently have 6 grandchildren.
